1. Utah State Football!
Oh my GOSH I'm half over it and half excited to see what the season has in store this year. My only worry at this point, is wondering if we'll have a team on the field at Maverick Stadium, or will we be watching on the playground of the Cache County Jail? OIY!!! Come on guys! Pull your heads out! There's zero reason why I should even worry about it. I didn't purchase season tix this year. I KNOW! I bet half of you are scooping up your jaws from the floor, but, I opted to save a bit of money this year and watch what I could on tv and darn betcha I'll be watching. Honestly, it's not cause we didn't WANT tix, but it's because we have a teenage driver that has sucked another $120/month out of our checking account for car insurance. I'll try my best to get up to a few live games though. GO AGGIES!
2. I've got the runs.
5k day approaches, and I think I'm ready! Although I've not hit the pavement for a run, I've been running 3x a week at the gym and each time I feel stronger and stronger. I sort of love the treadmill. Many don't. I have always wanted to try my hand at a 5k and I finally got brave enough to sign up for one in January. Now, the race is this Saturday and I never thought I'd be the girl that was EXCITED for such a thing. I had a goal to finish 33:00 or under. On the treadmill I've done it. In fact, I hit under 32 minutes on Tuesday. GO ME! I've not tried running with a group of 500 people, but I'm about to. At this point, I just want to finish. #Slothrunningteam #illgettherewhenigetthere
3. 1 more Monday!
1 more Monday of the school year! This school year has FLOWN by! I started off in the SPED classroom, but when other opportunities arose, I just had to do something for me. For YEARS I put others before me, and as good as it feels to help others, I was neglecting me. That's what got me 88 pounds overweight. After losing the weight, and realizing that I had some value, the opportunity to work for weight watchers came up and I jumped on that wagon sooooo fast! I left the SPED classroom in November, but stayed with the school district and work in a different school in the cafeteria during the day, and get to "work" at weight watchers in the evenings. Basically, I tell kids to eat all their food during the day, then coach adults at night, with coping techniques on NOT eating everything in sight. Some call it job security. I'm happy to announce that TONIGHT is my first go at leading a meeting. I've been doing the receptionist gig for a couple months at WW, and have been trained to be a leader now. I'm sooooo stoked to share the AH-mazing program with everyone!!!!
And that, my fine feathered friends, is my first (and let's be COMPLETELY honest) probably last edition of #TTT. I've not been super stellar at keeping up this whole bloggy thing.
