A few weeks ago, as I was studying up on the weekly topic for WW, the topic I was to (hopefully) discuss- "Make right for you choices," went all directions in my head, EXCEPT for food. I struggled on how to approach this topic to my Tuesday night members. We ended up discussing food choices though because at the time, Christmas was one week out, and we all know that the holiday doesn't JUST revolve around the Savior, but FOOD too!!! I was relieved that we didn't end up with a blog post like the one you may witness below if YOU choose to keep reading.
But even after 3 weeks, this topic is stuck in my head. Make right for YOU choices. This does not just mean what's in your breakfast bowl, or your dinner plate.
Basically, what I'm getting at is:
If YOU choose ice cream in your breakfast bowl, and YOU eat it in the a.m. hours then guess what? That's YOUR breakfast and YOUR choice making ice cream, a breakfast food for YOU.
If YOU choose to wait to shovel the snow on YOUR sidewalk until it has quit snowing, possibly making the postal service upset because they had to trudge through YOUR property (while still snowing) on a walk unshoveled, that's YOUR choice. Perhaps you have had a busy morning. Perhaps you don't have the energy to shovel three times in 3 hours. YOUR choice. And the postal worker can always carry a shovel along if he or she desires. That is his/her choice to do or not to do.
If YOU choose to attend a wedding that may not be of your faith, YOUR choice. Heaven for bid you support a friend.
If YOU choose to put off a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, YOUR choice!
If YOU choose to not do your Government homework and end up with a C- on a test score...YOUR choice!
If YOU choose to use paper plates for the entire month of December, and heck...January too because you've still got some, regardless of the #ohmygoshyouarewastingsomuchgarbagespace nay sayers, YOUR choice!
If YOU choose to read or not read this ranting maniac update a very neglected blog, YOUR choice.
One of the BEST sayings I've ever heard was in my Senior Yearbook many moons ago. "Live and let live."
People talk about wanting to be accepted for who they are, yet they talk about others for being who they are. YOU be YOU. YOUR choice is YOUR choice. Don't make it right for the neighbor, or the bishop, or the mom, dad, cousin, best friend, teacher, Walmart worker, etc.
MAKE RIGHT FOR YOU CHOICES!!
Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go trickle poison down my throat in the form of a diet dew. I skipped my breakfast drink, and it's already mid morning. ;)
