I have missed a few weeks on the blog. Excuse? 2 syllables: Ag-gies!
Football games and Basketball scrimmages people. It's that time of year again, and those that know me, know that my family, and Aggie athletics will ALWAYS come before the blog.
So, lets play catch up shall we? Let's make it easy. I'm down as of tonight 60 pounds even! I wanted to be down 60 by Halloween and it looks like I'm 2 weeks ahead of schedule. Time to make a new goal for myself. How about just KEEP it off through Halloween. I've yet to even buy a bag of candy corns this year and that in itself is a HUGE accomplishment. I'll call it a nsa or in other words, a "Non scale achievement!"
I've had a few people stop me in the the stores, at work, or even text me asking for some snack ideas. I decided that this post would be all about snackage. Here's what I've been grabbing these last 6 months for those snack attacks.
| Cottage cheese. Depending on the day, I'll either add blueberries, OR some diced roma tomatoes and green onion. SO GOOD! |
| I love hard boiled eggs. My boys, not so much. More for me. |
| I'm a TOTAL grape snob! Welch's all the way. I told you....SNOB! |
| I can have 71 of these babies for 3 ww points plus. Sometimes I even dip them in picante sauce cause it takes me longer to eat them that way. These are ALMOST an every Sunday snack. |
| Every morning before the gym, I eat one of these. And I'm not going to lie. I don't even track it. I know I know...I've always said, "I bite it, I write it." Well I guess I'm a big liar! These are only 50 calories and that is burned off in like....6 minutes at the gym. |
| Deli Turkey. Mmm....add a dill pickle, cherry tomatoes and a TBS of hummus to this and wrap it up... You're welcome :) |
| 1 cup blueberries, 1 small banana, 1 cup diet (not light, but DIET cranberry juice) and you've got yourself a delicious and smoothalicious treat |
| My addiction to these...there's just no words. I use them for everything from breakfast burritos, lunch wraps, and even garlic bread on pasta nights. |
| My favorite flavor not pictured: Lemon mer-however you spell it, pie. |
| ADDICTING! The End. |
| I've had this box of skinny cow chocolate since I started #myforeverjourney in April. That's 6 months ago people. Normally this would have been gone in a weekend. I just don't crave the sweets like I used to, and that's not a bad thing. (There are as of THIS moment, 6 in the box. And I know I've shared at least 2 of these, so to say I've only eaten 24 of these myself in 6 months is nothing to be ashamed about. |
| I eat these like popcorn. Whoda thunk it? Me eating cherry tomatoes? Turns out I'm kind of a cherry tomato snob too. This brand is my favorite. |
| 1 tsp. (YES TEAspoon) melted pb. 6 melted chocolate chips. PERFECTION! |
| This is not ice cream. I'm not even sure what it is except for low in weight watcher points. I've tried a few kinds. They are not Ben and Jerry's by any means but you can eat the ENTIRE pint for only 2 or 3 weight watcher points. HOLY CRAP GUYS!!!! HO.LY. CRAP! |
| Hummus snob too, Thanks to my friend Diane. And the Roasted Red Pepper is uber yummy on that deli turkey wrap thing I mentioned earlier. Just sayin'. |
| I've got my son hooked on this stuff. Be careful. It's best to measure your 3/4 of a cup, and walk away. Walk FAR, FAR away. YUMM-O! |
| Remember those skinny bagels I talked about on another post? Or was it facebook? Or instagram? Well anywho...there are these skinny bagels that are the bomb dot com and the STRAWBERRY spread is TO DIE FOR! Oh my gosh it makes the best breakfast on the planet. Ok...maybe not the planet because BACON is sooooo tasty. OOoooooo. Bacon flavored whipped Greek would be Gooooooood! Who do I call? |
I can't keep this in my fridge. A big jar of this lasts me 4 or 5 days.
So there you have it. What I snack on. Now I snack on other things too, like apples and carrots and other boring and good for me things, but these are my favorites. I buy most of my groceries at Walmart, but the GRAPES, and HUMMUS I buy from my local grocery store, Lee's. And my husband buys the string cheese from his super secret cheese buying sorority. Sorry...family only.
