WOW

What's. Occupying. Wednesday.

Ok. That was the best I could do. But really, this is a bit of what has happened since my last post. TTT or Three Things Thursday definitely has a better ring to it, but here's the deal-pickles. I'm hitting the road, Jack, and ain't coming back for 11 days. No bloggy thing for me while on vacay. Sorry folks. Try not to lose sleep over it. *entersarcasmfonthere*

So..what's been occupying my time?

Training. I completed my first in the history of ever 5k. SO MUCH FUN!!! My rock star son gets up with me at the butt crack of dawn (aka 4:45) to workout with me. NOW...since the official release of school, we've not been to the gym. WHHHHAAAAA? No worries. We've been outside. Biking, hiking, and all things not gym-ish. And MY. BUTT. HURTS! Holy hills batman! The other day, we went on a 5 mile hike, and every time we came to a hill, we ran it. WHY? I'm blaming it on the fact that sometimes I do dumb things. Simple as that. Tough stuff.

SCHOOOOOOL'S OUT FOR SUMMER!!! Did you sing it? I always do. You know what they say? No rest for the wicked. I hit the pavement with my second go at Little Red. Little Red is a bike ride for women only. It is a way to raise money to fight cancer in women, and although my father in law is not a woman (that sounds weird) he passed from that dreaded disease, and I ride for him! If you were lucky, you would have been in, or around the valley and saw the awesomeness that this event brings in. 30 years ago, the first Little Red bike ride, had 19 riders. On Saturday, there were 4,000. Yes. that is 3 zeros. You'll see elite athletes that conquer the century aka 100 miler, as well as those of us that enjoy riding for recreation. There are several "heats." 100 milers, 70 milers, 50, 36 and 27. I chose to ride the 36 this year. Last year it was the 27. Who knows? Next year could be the 50.

Now...I get to relax, and rejuvenate with these guys!

Like I said, earlier, I'm hitting the road. I'm taking my boys, (My Mom and Pops and Dustin's Mom and Brother) an atlas, my hammock, some diet fizzy, and enjoying 7 days here!

And do you see those stairs? They head RIGHT DOWN TO THE BEACH!!!!

Peace out Peeps!!!
